# Commissions

> How your earnings are calculated

## The Money Part

You earn a percentage of every subscription payment made by your referrals. Here's exactly how it works.

## Commission Rates

| **L1 (Direct)**   | 30%  | People YOU referred            |
| **L1 Influencer** | 35%  | After 10+ active L1 referrals  |

## How Earnings Are Calculated

### Example: L1 Commission

Jane signs up through your link
Jane chooses Fan tier: $9.99/mo

Your L1 commission:
$9.99 × 30% = $3.00/month

Every month Jane stays subscribed, you earn $3.00
```

### Example: L2 Commission

```
Jane (your L1 referral) refers Bob
Bob chooses Affiliate tier: $34.95/mo

Your L2 commission:
$34.95 × 15% = $5.24/month

Jane's L1 commission:
$34.95 × 30% = $10.49/month

Everyone wins.

## Commission by Tier

## The Influencer Bonus

Hit **10+ active L1 referrals** and your L1 rate bumps to **35%**.

This is automatic. No application needed. Hit 10 referrals, rate increases.

## Unlocking L2

L2 commissions unlock when you have **5+ active L1 referrals**.

| 0-4             | Locked         |
| 5+              | Unlocked (15%) |

**"Active"** means currently subscribed. If referrals cancel and you drop below 5, L2 pauses until you're back above.

## What "Active" Means

A referral is **active** if they have a current paid subscription.

## When You Get Paid

The 7-day hold protects against chargebacks and fraud. It's standard practice.

## Commission Examples

### Scenario 1: Small Network

```
You have:
- 5 L1 referrals (3 Fan, 2 Affiliate)

Monthly earnings:
L1: (3 × $3.00) + (2 × $10.49) = $29.98
L2: Unlocked but no L2 referrals yet = $0

Total: $29.98/month
```

### Scenario 2: Growing Network

```
You have:
- 12 L1 referrals (8 Fan, 3 Affiliate, 1 Creator)
- 6 L2 referrals (4 Fan, 2 Affiliate)

Monthly earnings:
L1 (Influencer rate): (8 × $3.50) + (3 × $12.23) + (1 × $34.65) = $99.34
L2: (4 × $1.50) + (2 × $5.24) = $16.48

Total: $115.82/month
```

### Scenario 3: Established Network

```
You have:
- 50 L1 referrals (mixed tiers)
- 30 L2 referrals (mixed tiers)

This could easily be $500-1,000+/month
```

## The Earnings Arcade

Input:

* Number of L1 referrals by tier
* Estimated L2 growth

Output:

* Projected monthly earnings
* Projected annual earnings

## Important Rules

  **No self-referrals.** You cannot refer yourself or use your own link to sign up additional accounts.

  **No fake referrals.** Creating fake accounts to inflate numbers will result in account termination and forfeiture of earnings.
</Warning>

  Commissions are only on **subscriptions**, not tips or standalone purchases. Tips go directly to creators.

## FAQ

    Your commission automatically adjusts to the new tier's rate.

    You stop earning on that referral. If they resubscribe later (through any means), you resume earning.
